Lifeguard Chairs at Dusk

Lifeguard Chairs at Dusk

Empty lifeguard chairs on an empty beach at dusk.  The fact that they are empty means the day is done, and maybe danger is at bay.  Peaceful, soft waves lap at the sand.  My favorite time of day at the beach.  When my children were little my friends and I would take our children to the beach for dinner.  Get them fed, exercised and really tired for the ride home.  Peace happens small doses sometimes.  We take what we can get!  Inspired by a photograph taken by my friend Robin Maxcy.

8" x 10" water color on cold press 100% cotton paper.

  • Care of Watercolor Paintings

Watercolor portraits should be matted and framed to protect the fragile nature of watercolor.   The professional watercolors used have different light fast qualities however, all watercolor paintings should be displayed away from direct sunlight, as they will eventually fade if not carefully protected.

  • Unframed

Original artwork comes unframed to allow it's new owner to decide what fits best in their home.
