The Newport Harbor Lighthouse is a picturesque granite block tower situated on Goat Island in Newport Harbor, Rhode Island.  Built in 1842, the lighthouse now has an electric light to notify ships of a reef just yards off Goat Island.  It used to have a keepers house but a submarine damaged the foundation and it was removed!  Perfect for the lighthouse lover and history buff, this watercolor painting captures the quaint beauty of this lighthouse using texture, color and delicate linework.
