Watercolor painting of Portland Head Lighthouse
The Portland Head Lighthouse is one of the most photographed lighthouses in the U.S., featuring a white tower and red roofed keeper's dwelling and equipment houses. It was built in 1791 and commissioned by George Washington. Perfect for the lighthouse lover and history buff, this watercolor painting captures the quaint beauty of this lighthouse using texture, color and delicate linework. The painting was inspired by a photograph taken by my sister, Cindy Wilkins.
9" x 12" watercolor and archival ink on 100% cotton paper.
